Recommended Steps To Learn Kitesurfing:
- Take The Ride The Wind Package:
This is the best sequence of lessons for a comprehensive understanding of the sport.
Before or after the first class, consider buying a trainer kite. Practicing with a trainer kite gets you better kite skills which will allow you to be riding sooner. more details
- Go Buy A Kite:
Buy a medium sized kite or a kite and board package. We recommend buying locally so you can see what you are buying. Once you have taken a lesson with us, we can give you a discount coupon and advise you further. BE ADVISED – DON'T BUY ONLINE! read more about this here
- Join A Practice Group:
Boston Kite School keeps a database of students who want to practice together. This is a safe, free way to progress in the sport. At the end of your Ride the Wind package we will assign you a skill rating from 1 to 4. You can then receive a list of other people at your skill level who want to practice. When you want a practice partner, just call someone from the list.
- Consider A Private Lesson:
After practicing for a while, many students take a private lesson. This is usually when the student is learning how to ride upwind. Take advantage of our waterproof helmet-radio system and expert coaching to really nail it!
